Originally from Liberty, Mississippi, I attended Spring Hill Jesuit College of Mobile, Alabama where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in studio art.
I currently attend New York University in persuit of a master's degree in studio art.

My goals are rooted by my drive and desire to create art. Art is a lifelong passion that has grown into a definitive element of my identity. What I have found most compelling about art is that it completely subjective. Art can be made with many intentions but ultimately it is left to the person viewing it to decide what it means for him or her. Art is an amazing tool to communicate, even if it is in a language that not all can interpret or understand. Sometimes, it is the lack of understanding that makes a work of art beautiful. Many of us search for ways to push the seemingly never ending boundaries in art while some work just as beautifully within the boundaries searching for ways of making images work for what messages we have. Ultimately, we as artists all have the same primitive instinct to create. The relationship between what we create for, how we create, and how our creation is interpreted is the “art”.
